The rain is no dampener

Continuous rains have lashed the city since the early hours of today. Lokhandwala Circle hasn’t got flooded since it was relaid a couple of years ago, but today was different.

The road became a river, washing away whatever could not resist the force of the swiftly moving water.

Normal vs Flooded

Today is the 5th day of the Ganesha Festival, and one would think that the flooded roads would make people think about keeping their Ganeshas at home for a couple of more days. The rain is no dampener though.

The Ganeshas are making it bravely through the river, complete with drummers, et al. Actually, there are now many many new water bodies in which the Ganeshas can be immersed today.
