Durga Puja at Lokhandwala Township’s Whitehouse

Krishti Durgotsav at Lokhandwala Township, Kandivali East, is in its 11th year. Every year, Krishti, “a social organisation where you can participate, enjoy and keep in touch with the traditions of Bengal”, sets up one of the most awaited Durga Puja “pandals” in Mumbai. Bengalis from all over Mumbai, and also traditional pandal hoppers, are said to visit this pandal at least on one of the days of the week-long celebration. Far from being a pandal, this year’s Maa Durga is housed in the Whitehouse (I think)! Quite meticulously done, it is indeed worth a visit.
